Spring has finally sprung here in the UK, the sun is shining and for a few days at least, I’ve been able to leave the house without a winter coat!
Unlike the British weather, some things are much more predictable and this month’s newsletter is packed full of great articles, case studies and podcasts on topics ranging from “Navigating the Future of Digital Exams”, the resurgence and reinvention of AI-enhanced Remote Proctoring in a post-Covid world and the ever changing world of test security.
Spring also sees the conference season start in earnest, with our partner organisation, ATP, holding their “Innovations in Testing” Conference in Orlando at the end of March which I know a lot of you will be attending. If you are there, come along to the European Breakfast on Monday morning (24th), where I’ll be leading a session on ‘all things Europe’, including a focus on our very own eAA conference taking place in London this June.
Finally, with so much uncertainty in the world, thank you to all our members and volunteers for continuing to be part of our fast-growing, innovative and increasingly influential global assessment community.
Enjoy the newsletter!

How Wearable Tech Can Compromise Exam Integrity & How AI Proctoring Can Detect It
Wearable devices are becoming more integrated into our daily lives and slowly finding their way into education. Devices like smartwatches, fitness trackers, and AR glasses are useful for staying connected and tracking health, but they can also be misused during exams.
Key considerations when exploring AI grading solutions for your Institution
While the world is agog about AI, educators exercise a little more caution. They’re right to look before they leap. Weighing up the pros and cons is imperative.
