| View in browser Dear Sir/ Madam,   Welcome to the latest edition. It’s a pleasure to be guest editing as I settle back into life at RM Assessment.   Looking at our industry today, it’s clear we’ve moved well beyond simply moving paper exams onto screens. We’re entering a new phase where success is no longer defined by how advanced our technology is, but by how effectively it improves the experience for the person taking the test. While technology enables progress, our North Star remains what the e-Assessment Association calls The Trust Imperative.   As we look ahead to the 2026 Conference, I’m reminded that a seamless candidate journey depends on systems that truly work together. By committing to open, flexible standards, we can help ensure that assessment remains fair, accessible, and inclusive. I’m particularly encouraged by the work being done to set new benchmarks in digital accessibility, alongside vital research into early literacy and maths screening—supporting learners from the very beginning.   Then, of course, there’s AI. It represents the most significant shift we’ve seen in years, but it’s encouraging to see the conversation moving beyond hype towards practical application. Whether streamlining content creation or enabling more authentic, real-world assessments, technology is beginning to remove friction so teams can focus on what matters most. However, we must proceed thoughtfully. As regulations evolve and identity verification is reimagined, our responsibility is to ensure that innovation never undermines the integrity or value of qualifications.   Ultimately, our ambition is for the technology to become almost invisible—allowing the candidate’s effort and ability to take centre stage. I look forward to exploring these ideas at June’s conference and to working together as a community to design truly candidate-centric assessment experiences   Dawn Pollard Business Growth Director  \| RM   eAA News    Programme 2026: The Trust Imperative - Innovating with Integrity   We're delighted to announce that the programme for the 2026 International e-Assessment Conference is now live, reflecting  the scale, pace and importance of change across digital assessment.   Taking place 8–10 June 2026 in London, this year’s conference is built around the theme The Trust Imperative: Innovating with Integrity bringing together global leaders to explore how we ensure fairness, reliability and confidence as assessment continues to evolve.   Across three days, the programme brings together award-winning practitioners, policymakers, regulators, researchers and technology leaders to share real-world insight, practical solutions and forward-looking perspectives.
