Spring certainly arrived in many other countries with a very warm spell of weather. Let’s hope that this remains in the UK for a little while longer to give a warm welcome to everyone attending the eAA’s International eAssessment Conference and Awards taking place in London next week – 9th to 11th June – full details here.
Having been involved with the eAA’s conference and awards programme since their inception, I always look forward to the conference and the opportunity to meet new people and catch-up with old friends. The conference programme is once again packed with some amazing speakers, sharing their knowledge and insights – full details of the programme can be found here.
Now in its 9th year, the 2025 awards programme has continued attract interest from projects right around the world, receiving submissions from a variety of countries including Azerbaijan, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Oman, Spain, Swaziland, Switzerland, Turkey, the UAE, UK and USA.
The standards of the submissions were extremely high once again this year, which has kept our judging panels on their toes as they chose the 45 finalists across the thirteen award categories. The winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of Tuesday 10th June – with details of all of this year’s finalists here.
As overall chair of this year’s judging panels, I wanted to express my sincere thanks to all 70 judges involved in this year’s awards. The process takes a great deal of effort and time, which is given freely by our panels of volunteer judges, without whom we would not be able to hold the awards.
This month’s newsletter is also packed full of great articles about how assessment technologies are being used to enhance and improve assessment delivery and candidate experience.
I hope you enjoy reading this edition and I very much look forward to meeting and speaking with many of you at the conference next week.
